Give Something Back To Berlin e.V.

During my eight years as Executive Director and currently as a committee member and consultant for Give Something Back to Berlin, the organisation grew from a grassroots initiative to an internationally awarded best practice with a network of 35000+ annual participants and a team of 10 employees. My role was responsible for political advocacy, national and international funding, organisational strategy, innovation, project conceptualization, CSR partnerships, HR management and community development. Responsible for Operations, Project Management, HR and advocacy, I conceptualised, co-created and led several successful projects, as well as public-facing events designed to promote social change and provide a platform for diverse and inclusive discourse. I also organised and hosted visits with international diplomats, practitioners, politicians, and royal family visitors.

We Are Village / queer matters ggmbh

In our collaboration, we identified the need for an organisational development plan that would enable the organisation to grow significantly. I then implemented a highly successful funding, networking and project development strategy. Currently, I am continuing the long term funding and political networking strategy and project managing the implementation of five new projects and staff growth thanks to a number of larger successful grants.

CIEE University

CIEE University needed a 6-week long curriculum on start-up culture and social entrepreneurship for international students. I created a brand new course focusing on themes such as gender inequality, migration and how to develop social business ideas successfully. I am also a regular guest lecturer for the workshop: “Rising tensions among social change in Germany”.

Horizon Resource Network

To keep up with the rising demand in Horizon Resources Network’s growing community, I conceptualised and wrote two successful larger project funding applications. These have helped grow the organisation to offer more services and activities for young migrants to support their career and personal development journey in Germany.

Between the Dog and the Wolf

For this innovative feminist collective I was able to identify a number of funding opportunities, write the applications and support in creating a long-term plan. The applications were for their multidisciplinary research and theatre piece called “The Eulogies of Jane Doe” - focusing on the threat of gender-based violence at night.
